Functional Overview

Kaizens are multi-day events focused on solving specific problems by improving the underlying processes.  Kaizens should have measurable objectives to ensure that improvements are sustained and working.

The Charter Tab is the culmination of inputs from the other tabs.  The Charter tab is meant to replace the static excel charter, and can be downloaded as a power point file.  Aspects of this tab are configurable via the admin tools - contact your local admin or support@kaizenoptimizer.com

Tagging/Aligning the Kaizen


Is your Kaizen supporting a Hoshin Kanri priority, TTI or KPI that has been created in Optimizer?  Align/Tag those items here.

Metric Objectives / Scorecard

 

Every Kaizen should have have measurable objectives.  Select them here, add your Baseline or starting point, your Kaizen goal and your Kaizen Actual.

 

Can the improvement be monetized? Add monetization as well.

Setting up Sustainment Checks

 

If your measurable objectives are being tracked in a KPI or TTI, you may not need sustainment checks.

 

If not, set sustainment checks at intervals of your choice, assign to owners and track progress on the Charter tab.

Adding Photos and Documentation

 

Kaizens typically have before/after visuals, charts and supporting documentation.  Load the items here, drag and drop to place in your preferred order.

Comments / Lessons Learned

 

Kaizen participants always have an important "ah ha" moment during the event - record those in the comments/lessons learned tab.  These will also be part of the PowerPoint download
